- Introducing Palliative Care Benefits Effective October 1, 2022. The Directors Guild of America–Producer Health Plan now offers Palliative Care benefits to covered Health Plan participants and dependents. Palliative Care is a medical specialty that supports individuals with serious, chronic and life-threatening conditions at any stage of their illness, improving their quality of life and aiding in their recovery. The new benefit will work in conjunction with the Health Plan’s medical benefits and be administered through the Motion Picture and Television Fund’s (MPTF) nationally and state recognized Palliative Care program.
